Heron Bicycle Company was created by two adventurous, outdoorsy people who love biking, exploring, and creating new things. We noticed a lacking in the marketplace for high functioning, solidly built bikes, that also have fun and creative color schemes. Beyond that, as small business owners in the bike industry, we noticed that it was difficult to procure a truly custom fleet. The bikes all looked basically the same, save for a few different colors and maybe a logo or two. We weren't interested in looking like everyone else, but it seemed the only way to get your bike your way was to buy the same generic looking bike that everyone else had. Those options just weren't up to par with the aesthetic that we were looking for. With that, Heron Bicycle Company was born.
We have taken our experience in the bike rental world, and fine tuned the beach cruiser to be the perfect rental bike. The frame is completely aluminum to fight against rusting in the salty, humid air. All of the components are stainless steel. The tubes are thorn proof, the chain is rust resistant, even the seat was hand picked for the most comfortable ride. We tested different gear ratios for the front and back hubs to make it the easiest ride, no matter what the terrain. In short, we crossed every T and dotted every I and are now offering the perfect rental bike.
